I am proud of my swimming. I started swimming when I was about four years old in a little pool in the Highlands, Palisades. I started swimming because my dad swim when he was little, all the way into college, and in 1988, he won a gold medal in the Summer Olympics. The people who really got me into swimming were the coaches at TSM, which stands for Team Santa Monica Swimming. All of my siblings swam here, so my dad signed me up. Recently, I have swam a lot and improved my speed and stroke. I was only 0.08 seconds off from qualifying to central California Junior Olympics in the 50 yard free, and I will try again in that event next time. I always love the sight of the blue pool, the strong smell of chlorine, and the sounds of splashing as I enter the pool. But I will always remember the cool feeling when I get out of the pool.
